LEARN Academy/Creative Learning Center (LEARN Academy® School Support Services and Education Network (thelearnacademy.com)), is a state-certified, K-12 private day school in California for children diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and other neurological disorders.  Our comprehensive services — available across the South Bay, Peninsula, and San Francisco Bay Area — are designed to meet the unique needs of the whole student. We are a division of the LEARN Academy, a national leader in special education, academic intervention, and behavioral services for autism. 

LEARN Academy/Creative Learning Center is a certified NPA and in network with insurance companies enabling us to service students privately in our clinical setting with Behavioral ABA, SLP, OT, and Social Skills Development. The SLPA position requires working in a 1:1 setting and small group settings with children with Autism and other similar disorders. Sessions take place in a 1:1 clinic setting, and in our inclusion preschool.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to: 

• Provide direct service delivery as indicated by child’s IEP and/or Treatment Plan under direction of supervising SLP 
• Complete related service procedures: treatment planning, record keeping, and progress monitoring 
• Develop supplementary documents and/or materials relevant to treatment goals and implementation 
• Communicate pro-actively and effectively with SLP supervisor regarding progress and/or concerns 
• Communicate effectively with instructional staff regarding learners’ strengths and needs following direction by supervising SLP 
• Participate in intra- and inter-disciplinary professional development (meetings, in-services, etc.)   
• Maintain cleanliness and integrity of therapy materials and school environment 
• Communicate concerns to SLP Supervisor 

Learn Academy/Creative Learning Center is looking for an outstanding Speech-Language Pathology Assistant to work with children in a clinic setting and become a valuable member of our national team of special education providers!

• Associate’s in speech-language pathology assistant 
• Current CA SLPA Licensure 
• Experience working with children preferred 
• Ability to work independently
